I have had a great deal of fun doing Wired Cougars this year. I've learned a great deal-Podcasting, making movies via Windows MovieMaker, learned about some new technology, as well as learned what NOT to do via technology in the classroom.

My best advice to future Wired Cougars is to take everything with a grain of salt-learn what you can every time you go to SARC or to Tech Tuesday, but remember that you don't have to do EVERYTHING! Pick and choose what fits well in your classroom and what doesn't. I also took chances w/ technology that paid off in the long run (ie. Podcasting). Best of luck!

Being a Wired Cougar has been absolutely fantastic. I can't even tell you how much I've grown as a teacher. It's awesome utilizing so many different instructional strategies through the use of technology.

I agree with Donya and would have to tell future Wired Cougars to just dive in. There will be times when you feel overwhelmed with ALL the technology tools out there. Don't hesitate to go to Christine with questions (I was in her office all the time) and make the absolute best out of this opportunity. It really is a life-changing experience. You WILL become a better teacher because of it!

Have fun!
